Strengths/Success Factors:
1. The early stage of Thai traditional medicine and alternative medicine working
group of the hospital was led by a medical doctor (Dr. Chatchai Sawasdichai)
and an invited experienced TTM doctor (Ajarn Pensri Sa-Nguan-Sap).
2. Discussed with and provided information to the Deputy Director of the
Medical Department resulting in smooth collaborative work in the hospital.
3. Provided information on the effectiveness and the cost of herbal medicines
to various departments to promote the use of herbal medicines and to replace
certain items of modern medications.
4. Integrated Thai traditional medicine with modern medicine.
5. Conducted knowledge management, research, and technical activities.
6. The hospital has later been designated as a specialised hospital in Thai
traditional medicine (Special Hospital).
7. Hospital executives and staffs of the working group are determined and work
towards achieving the same goal, that is to drive the service system of Thai
traditional medicine and alternative medicine of the hospital to meet
international standard and receive international recognition with sustainable
growth.
