Best practice: Comprehensive Development of Service System and Knowledge
Management in Integrative Care of Patients with Psoriasis

Format/Process:

This best practice development process was established under the sustainable
development framework, involving 3 areas of development, namely: -

1. Development of Treatment and Care Service Systems

• Establish one-stop service Thai traditional medicine clinic.
• Integrate TTM with modern medicine approach, by assessing PASI score

and using medications of both TTM and conventional medicine.
• Establish different consultation channels via phone, Line application, and

Facebook.
• Monitor symptoms through digital technology (telemedicine).

• Develop innovation in medication delivery through QR code of video
instructions on the preparation of herbal decoctions.

Additionally, the implementation of treatment protocols based on Clinical
Practice Guidelines (CPG) has resulted in successful psoriasis treatment service.

The Thai traditional medicine clinic at Phra Pokklao Hospital has served more
than 3,500 patients with more than 20,000 visits, about 80% are from other

provinces.

2. Technical Development through knowledge management and R&D,

namely: -
• Developed Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) for psoriasis.
• Developed psoriasis textbooks.

• Conducted retrospective study on the use of herbal remedies of Phra

Pokklao Hospital for the treatment of psoriasis, and published research
articles in scientific journals, as well as delivered presentations at academic
conferences.

• Conducted prospective research in collaboration with the Faculty of

Pharmacy, Mahidol University, and the Faculty of Pharmacy, Chiang Mai
University. Four projects have been successfully conducted, and research Thailand
results were disseminated via scientific journals, academic conferences, and
