Dosage adjustment: the dosage should be increased or decreased by one capsule

per administration, considering the efficacy and safety. Follow-up appointments should
be scheduled every month.

Data on the use of Ya Rayom Lom Soong formula in 171 selected cases:
• 132 patients with hypertension.

• 23 patients with insomnia.
• 2 patients with headaches.

• Effectiveness monitoring: When blood levels of the medication reach steady
state in 1-2 weeks after starting the medication, determine if blood pressure

was lowered to the desired levels: systolic blood pressure 90-140 mm Hg,
diastolic blood pressure 60-90 mm Hg, and heart rate of 60-100 beats per

minute.
• Safety monitoring: Patients who had a blood pressure measuring device were

instructed to measure and record their blood pressure once daily at the same
time each day. The recorded data were shown to the physician on the

appointment date for dosage adjustment consideration. Medication should be
discontinued if blood pressure falls below 90/60 mm Hg.

• Treatment outcomes
- Most patients experienced a decrease in blood pressure, only few cases had

unchanged blood pressure.
- Insomnia patients reported a reduction of their symptoms.

- It was observed that patients who were previously unable to control their

blood pressures despite using herbal medicine along with modern medication,

could successfully lower and control their blood pressures when Ya Rayom
Lom Soong was added to complement their antihypertensive medication.
