increment in both OPD and IPD patients, referrals as well as friendly working

environment within the staff.
9. The hospital extended its integrative outpatient services as well IPD services.

The hospital now successfully operates the Internal medicine, Surgery,
Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Panchakarma, Acupuncture OPD, E.N.T and

Physiotherapy OPDs. Patients from all moves, all around the country and
various other countries visit this hospital for authentic, accessible and

economical traditional medicine service.
10. The reception counter has also been upgraded with a token system for easy

management of patients’ queue, along with digital payment options that is
facilitating patients and patient parties.

11. The pathological laboratory is also improving with a number of varied tests
in haematology, biochemistry, and parasitology.

12. The hospital has an upgraded radiology department which is equipped with
facilities such as X-ray, NCT, ECG, and Ultrasonography services. This year

will be the addition of CT-Scan services inside the hospital premise, first of
its kind in a traditional medicine hospital.

13. The hospital runs its own library which has collection of many ancient
scriptures.

14. Conduction of CME (Continual medical education) classes by bringing experts
from various aspects of medicine, environment, scientist, agriculturist, and

researcher community together in knowledge dissemination and exchange.

15. The hospital offers a practical learning hub for students of various levels

(certificate to undergraduate) in Ayurveda and Acupuncture.
16. Established a storage unit for organisation and storage of dry herbs inside

store building.
17. Improved the security inside hospital premises.

18. MoU between different hospitals and primary ayurveda health care centres.
However, this journey to reformation was not as easy as it seems. We started

with one problem at a time, learnt by doing, and also with suggestions and help of
high designated personnel from Ministry of Health & Population (MOHP), Department

of Ayurveda & Alternative Medicine (DOAAM), Department of Health Services (DOHS)
and also the local government.
