Singhadurbar Vaidyakhana is Nepal’s oldest company manufacturing ayurvedic
medicines. It was established during Malla Dynasty and now it has a glorious history

of nearly 400 years. It is also one of the highly trusted manufacturers of Ayurvedic and

herbal medicines in Nepal. It is a government institute under the Ministry of Health
and population. It was famous for producing almost 200 quality ayurvedic and other
herbal products. In recent years however, this institute is struggling for survival despite

its unparalleled legacy due to various reasons.

Central Ayurveda Hospital, Naradevi

It is the tertiary and referral level government Ayurveda hospital of Nepal having

facility of 100 general beds and 18 cabins. It is believed to be the oldest health and
training institute of Nepal established in 1974 B.S. Ayurveda Hospital, Naradevi offers
24-hour inpatient service, OPD services, Radiology and pathology services, free medicine

distribution, and specialised Ayurveda, alternative and integrated treatment services. It

is well known for its cost-effective treatments and other services.
