Three hundred fifty-six participants (181 in intervention and 175 in the

                                control group) were randomised. With the modified intention to treat approach,
                                we analysed 309 participants. The mean age for the intervention and control

                                group was 39.3 ± 10.1 and 36.6 ± 10 years, respectively. Incidence of
                                COVID-19 event was higher in control group compared to CAY group (16

                                of 164 [9.8%] vs. 11 of 145 [7.6%]; P = 0.50). The incidence of ILI events
                                was also higher in the control group as compared to the CAY group (14 of

                                164 [8.5%] vs 9 of 145 [6.2%]). The health change domain of the SF-36
                                questionnaire showed statistically significant improvement in the CAY group

                                as compared to the control group (P < 0.01). Incidence of COVID-19 and
                                ILI events was lower in the CAY group compared with the control group,

                                though the difference is not statistically significant.



                     3.6  WHO Global Centre of Traditional Medicine (GCTM)

                            a.  The Global Centre of Traditional Medicine (GTCM) envisions establishing a
                                knowledge centre to expedite contributions from Traditional Medicine systems

                                for global health and wellbeing.
                            b. Foundation stone of WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine was laid

                                in the presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Hon’ble Prime Minister
                                of Mauritius, and DG-WHO in April 2022.

                            c.  An interim office of WHO GCTM has been made functional at the Institute
                                of Training and Research in Ayurveda (ITRA), Jamnagar which is an Institute

                                of National Importance (INI) under the Ministry of  Ayush. This would be
                                the first and only global outposted Centre (office) for traditional medicine

                                in India and also in the South East region. The interim office is intended to
                                deliver broadly on generation of evidence and innovation, artificial intelligence

                                based solutions for traditional medicine, systematic reviews in collaboration
                                with Cochrane, Global survey on traditional medicine data across  WHO

                                GPW 13 (Thirteenth General Programme of Work 2019-2023) and Sustainable
                                development goals, traditional medicine socio-cultural and biodiversity heritage

                                with a forward-looking approach to sustainable development and management
                                and cross-cutting functions, business operations and administrative processes

                                for the establishment of main office of WHO-GCTM
