National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH)
National Institute of Homoeopathy is an autonomous
organisation under the Ministry Ayush which was established
th
on 10 December 1975 in Kolkata. The Institute affiliated
to the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, presently
conducts the degree course in Homoeopathy viz., Bachelor
of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery [B.H.M.S.] since
1987 and postgraduate course i.e., Doctor of Medicine in
Homoeopathy [M.D.(Hom.)] since 1998-99 onwards. Today
it consists of an Undergraduate and Postgraduate sections
with an auditorium of 800 seating capacity, a hospital having
an outpatient dept. and a 100 bedded inpatients dept. along
with investigative facilities.
National Institute of Naturopathy
The National Institute of Naturopathy came into existence
on 22nd of December 1986. National Institute of Naturopathy
is situated in the historic building named “Bapu Bhavan”,
Tadiwala Road, Pune. Established with an aim to make
Naturopathy and Yoga accessible to all and to provide quality
of service by providing education and training in the field
of Naturopathy and Yoga. The institute’s OPD is attracting
a huge number of patients due to the increasing popularity
of naturopathy in Pune. National Institute of Naturopathy
also runs a health shop where natural food, drinks and
products are made available to the public.
Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY)
Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) is an
autonomous Institution fully funded by Ministry of Ayush,
Government of India. MDNIY is a focal Institute for Planning,
Training, Promotion and Coordination of Yoga Education,
Training, Therapy and Research in all its aspects. MDNIY
aims to promote deeper understanding of Yoga philosophy
and practices based on classical Yoga amongst people. The
main Vision and Mission of the Institute is ‘’Health, Harmony
and Happiness for all through Yoga’’. M.Sc. (Yoga), B.Sc.
(Yoga), PGDYTMP, Diploma for Graduates and Certificate
courses. (Total 10 Courses are running). The institute is
producing 1,246 Master Trainers in Yoga every year. MDNIY
OPD is NABH accredited and benefitting 3-4 lakh patients
every year. It is an WHO collaborating centre for Traditional India
Medicine (Yoga).
