Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM)

                                                 The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine
                                                 (CCRUM) is an autonomous organisation under the Ministry
                                                 of Ayush, Government of India. Since its establishment in
                                                 1978, the CCRUM as the apex government organisation

                                                 for research in Unani Medicine has been engaged in
                                                 conducting scientific research on the applied as well as
                                                 fundamental aspects  of  Unani  system  of  medicine.
                                                 Consequently, over the past four decades of its existence,
                                                 the Council has made significant strides in clinical research,
                                                 drug standardisation, survey and cultivation of medicinal
                                                 plants, and literary research. Besides, research-oriented health
                                                 extension services, and information, education, and
                                                 communication  (IEC)  activities  have  also  been  part  of  the

                                                 Council’s programmes.
                              Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN)

                                                 The Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy
                                                 (CCRYN) is the apex body for Research and Development
                                                 in  Yoga and  Naturopathy established under  the  Societies
                                                 Registration  Act, 1860 as an autonomous institution in

                                                 1978.  Apart from research and  development, Council is
                                                 actively engaged in promotion, propagation, education,
                                                 training & publication of Yoga and Naturopathy systems.

                                                 Central  Council  for  Research  in  Siddha  (CCRS)  under
                                                 Ministry of Ayush is an apex body for conducting research

                                                 in Siddha system of medicine and provides health care
                                                 facilities through its 8 peripheral institutes/units and 5 co-
                                                 located units of CCRS. The Council is engaged in multifaceted
                                                 research activities. In the area of clinical research, pre-clinical
                                                 Pharmacological/Toxicological studies,  Open  label trials,
                                                 multi-centric Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs) are being
                                                 conducted for acute and chronic diseases. The main emphasis

                                                 is on diseases of national health priority with a view to
                                                 develop safe and effective Siddha treatments.
