•  Agro-Techniques for 104 Medicinal Plants  have been developed and

                              published.6 Herbal Gardens of National importance developed in different
                              parts of India. E.g., Herbal Garden at Nilambur, Kerala etc.

                            •  Published comic book  “Professor AYUSHMAN”  for Children on Medicinal
                              Plants & their values.

                            •  Released E Book  “20 Medicinal Plants of 21 for Covid-19 Care” to create
                              awareness on use of medicinal plants in Covid-19 care.

                            •  Medicinal plant species specific campaign  like Amla,  Giloy  (Amrita for
                              Life),  etc.  and “20 Medicinal Plants for 2020 campaign”  has created

                              awareness among the masses.
                            •  “Ayush Aapke Dwar” campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to distribute

                              medicinal plants saplings to the households.
                            •  Regular  Buyer Seller meets  to create market linkage between Farmers and

                              Industry.
                            •  Established one  National Raw Drug Repository  and four  Regional Raw

                              Drug Repositories throughout India.
                            •  Demand & Supply study on Medicinal Plants was done by Indian Council of

                              Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), Dehradun during 2014-15.
                            •  Voluntary Certification Scheme for medicinal plant produce, launched on

                              22.11.2017
                            •  IT initiatives:

                              -  NMPB has developed an online portal cum android based application for
                                 trading of medicinal plants named  “e-CHARAK”  to enable trading and

                                 information exchange between various stakeholders involved in the medicinal
                                 plants sector.

                              -  NMPB Helpline:  To address specific issues faced by various stakeholders
                                 across  medicinal  plants  supply  chain  viz.,  QPM  nursery,  cultivation,  plant

                                 protection, post-harvest management, marketing etc.
                            •  Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) in process:

                              Under these sponsored/financially supported research projects, NMPB so far
                              identified five unique projects which are novel in nature and patentable. They

                              are:
                              -  Bio-production  of secondary metabolites from  Aegle marmelos (R&D/TN-

                                 04/2006-07).
