10. National Research Institute

Currently we have no national research institute, but one Research & Production
unit is functioning at Government Unani & Ayurvedic Medical College, Dhaka.

11. Challenges

• Immediately to form a strong regulatory body for the regulation of practice

and education.
• Existing education and training facilities should be increased and the post-

graduate education to be started in related fields.
• To establish a national research institute of traditional medicine.

• To establish a national herbal garden.
• Provide more Unani & Ayurvedic Physicians in government Health Care

facilities.
• Budget should be increased in the new fiscal year.

• Have to build up public awareness by giving more information about the
benefit of Traditional Medicine and need global networking and collaboration.
