8. Development of Quality Standards on Traditional
Medicine
Standardisation is the code of conduct in order to ensure the proper identification
and authentication. Traditional Medicine Standard sub-committee was initially organised
in 2013, and reorganised in 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2022 formed with 30 members
including both public and private sector representatives, chaired by the Director General
of the Department of Traditional Medicine. The 17 kinds of raw materials have been
developed as TM Standards which are used in Myanmar TM formulations.
