As part of the strategic endeavours outlined in the Plan of Action by the Member

States, the decision was taken to develop the “Traditional Medicine Systems of BIMSTEC
Member States – 2023 Report”, aligned with Strategy I of the Plan of Action - Sharing

knowledge, experience, and information regarding different Traditional Medicine systems,
services, products, and raw materials among BIMSTEC Member States. This comprehensive

report is aimed to be presented at the Sixth BIMSTEC Summit, standing as a tangible
outcome of the BTFTM.

I trust that this publication will mark a significant milestone in advancing regional
cooperation in the area of traditional medicine within the Bay of Bengal region.
